GLAM HAUS

ANTI VIRAL MEDICATION

If you are prone to cold sores, it is highly likely that lip blushing will trigger an outbreak, which will also result in loss of pigment and patchy results.

Due to the nature of this technique ALL clients, whether or not they have a history of cold sores, must consult with their doctor or dentist for a prescription of Valtrex, Zovirax or any other Anti-viral medication for both pre-care and post-care. Medication is taken 5 days prior to the procedure, the day of the procedure, and 5 days after, totaling 11 days.

Consult with your doctor for any additional questions. If you have an outbreak, or any other type of scratch/acne on or around your lip area around the time of your scheduled appointment then your appointment must be rescheduled until the area is completely clear.

1 Week Prior to Lip Service:

  • Exfoliate your lips lightly with a lip scrub every morning and every night.

  • Immediately after exfoliation apply a lip balm or Aquaphor for hydration.

  • Keep lips moisturized at ALL times and reapply balm/ Aquaphor throughout the day to maintain maximum moisture.

High quality lip scrubs, balms and ointments are recommended for best results.

It is VERY difficult to implant pigment properly on dry, chapped lips. Proper pre-care instructions are very important to follow to prevent dry lips from occurring on the day of your service.
